The aim of the present study was to investigate the clinical pharmacokinetics of ciprofloxacin, a single dose of ciprofloxacin, in healthy volunteers.
A total of 200 healthy volunteers participated in this pharmacokinetic study. Blood samples were collected using a standardized procedure. The concentrations of ciprofloxacin in serum were determined using a validated liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method, as previously reported for the pharmacokinetic studies in healthy volunteers [].
After the administration of ciprofloxacin (25 and 100 mg) into the rat, a single dose of ciprofloxacin (0.1 and 1 mg/kg) was administered orally (0.125-mg) for 14 days. The study included 48 healthy male volunteers.
